Can you believe that Summer is just around the corner?  The Crystal Coast offers an abundance of Summer activities for kids, but selecting from such a plethora of options can be a little daunting. We know you want your kids to have a great Summer, so to save you some time we’ve gathered information on a few popular local Summer Day Camp Programs that your kids will love!

North Carolina Aquarium

NC Aquarium Summer camps combine fun and learning with hands on, feet wet experiences for youth. Our camp sessions run from 8:30am-12:30pm. Tuition: $250 with a 10% discount for members. Camps spaces are limited to 12 participants per camp, and they typically fill up within a few hours! Camp Albemarle

Camp Albemarle is excited to begin our Day Camp program in Summer 2013! Students entering 1st – 5th grades are invited to enjoy their summer days participating in games, art projects and Bible studies centering on an exciting theme.

Sports and Games Camp – Dates: June 10-14; Tuition: $200
Sports and Games campers will spend their days learning and practicing all sorts of sports – from the traditional (soccer, basketball) to the unusual (cricket, pickleball)!

Critter Camp – Dates: June 17-21; Tuition: $200
With critter games, critter crafts and special visits from real critters, Critter Camp will introduce your camper to animal habitats, habits and ways to help ensure a safe environment for all of them.

Everything Camp – Dates: June 24–July 3 (8 Days!); Tuition: $320
These campers will play lots of games (on the field and in the pool!), make awesome crafts, learn about the natural world, try out some camp activities (like kayaking, orienteering or tree climbing), and make new friends!

Arts Camp – Dates: July 8–12; Tuition: $200
Arts campers will learn new artistic techniques or skills while enjoying the fun of an outdoor setting.

Adventure Camp – Dates: August 12-16; Tuition: $200
These campers will take on the outdoors – tree climbing, kayaking, orienteering, fire building, archery and more!

The Carolina Strut

Each camp session includes a theme related craft and lunch will be provided each day! There will be a showcase for family and friends on the last day of each camp along with a pizza party. Little Mermaid Camp – Ages 3-6 10-1pm Monday – Friday; Tuition $130
Dates: June 17th– 21st, July 22nd – 26th, August 12th–16th
Dancers will come “under the sea” at TCS to learn Ballet, Tap, Tumbling and a sampling of Jazz and Hip Hop!

Surfer Girl Camp – Ages 7-11 – 10-3pm Monday – Friday; Tuition: $155
Dates: July 15th– 19th, July 29th –August 2nd
Campers will dance through a Surfin’ Safari with all styles of dance including; Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre and Acro/Cheer!

Get The Wiggles Out Camp – Ages 18 months – 3 years – 1:30-3 Monday, Wednesday, Friday; Tuition: $65
Dates: June 17th– 21st, July 22nd –26th
Campers will Dance and Play the Wiggles way with Ms. Jodi!!  We will do body awareness games, learn to follow the leader, basic ballet steps as well as some tumbling!

JUST FOR BOYS!! Fire Fighter Camp! – Ages 3-6 – 1:30-3 Monday, Wednesday, Friday; Tuition:$65
Dates: August 12th–16th
This rough and tumble all boys camp will be an adventure through a fireman’s obstacle course!  We will tumble and play and maybe even meet a real fire fighter!


Morehead City Marlins Summer Camps

The Marlins offer specific and general instruction to area youth.  All campers will receive first-hand instruction from our top collegiate players and coaches from around the country.  Week-long camps focus on general baseball skills while each day camp will feature specific instruction about hitting or pitching and catching.  Campers will have the opportunity to enhance their skills and develop a good sense of teamwork and sportsmanship.

2013 Day Camps:  Hitting camps – June 22nd and July 20th; Pitching camps – June 29th and July 13th

Beaufort Gymnastics

Summer Camps at Beaufort Gymnastics are fun and fitness filled!! We will be doing gymnastics, playing games, doing arts & crafts, singing songs, playing outside, and having the best time! We are offering half and full day camps this summer. Register now! They will fill up fast! Camp days begin at 9 a.m. and end at 4 p.m., but we provide an early drop off at 8 a.m. and late pick up at 5 p.m. at no additional cost. Summer camp is for children 4 and up. All Full Day campers will need to bring lunch and a drink. There is a $25 deposit due at the time of registration to hold a spot in camp. 

Camp session dates: July 8 – 12; July 15 – 19; July 22 – 26; July 29 – August 2; August 5 – 9; August 12 – 16

Half day sessions 9:00 am – 12:00 pm: $100 per week; Half day sessions 1:00 – 4:00 pm: $100 per week; Full day sessions 9:00 am – 4:00 pm: $150 per week

Emerald Isle Parks & Recreation Summer Day Camps

Summer Day Camp

Emerald Isle Parks & Recreation offers a Summer Day Camp program to children ages 6-12 each summer. Camps are held in 8 week-long sessions. Camp operates from 7:30am until 5:30pm Monday through Friday during all 8 weeks of camp. The fee for each themed week of camp is $75; per diem fees apply throughout the week. A $25 per session deposit is due by Friday, May 10th. Membership to Emerald Isle Parks & Recreation Community Center is not mandatory. Registration takes place the first Monday in May beginning at 8am.

RAYS Summer Adventure Registration

The Responsible and Admirable Youth Summer Adventure (RAYS) program is offered to children ages 12-15. Camp operates from 7:30am until 5:30pm Tuesday through Thursday during all 4 weeks of camp. The fee for each themed week of camp is $75; per diem fees apply throughout the week. A $25 per session deposit is due at the time of registration. Membership to Emerald Isle Parks & Recreation Community Center is not mandatory.  Registration takes place the first Monday-Friday in May.

North Carolina Maritime Museum

Get ready for summer! The Museum offers a Junior Sailing Program and a Summer Science School. Both are hugely popular and spaces fill up fast. Registration for both begins February 14, 2013.
